FIFA 10: Be a pro mode impression

Being in Indonesia, there was only one game for soccer. That is Winning Eleven or Pro Evolution Soccer, not so much for FIFA.
But FIFA since 09 was doing quite well globally, in fact FIFA 09 was clearly superior than PES 09, I downloaded FIFA 10 demo in PS3.
After a while, I decided to give FIFA 10 a go. And so far I tried different mode, and since I already stopped playing soccer games since PES 08 I haven't been updated with the new modes.
Currently I was hooked with Be a pro mode. Be a pro lets you create your own avatar and progress through your team as in real live. In the field, you only control your own player, the rest will be controlled by computers. However, there is an option to enable full players control should you want it.
Your statistics will improve depends on what actions you take. There will be some sort of throphies to achieve for that. For example: If you score sucessfully scored a hat trick in a match, you finishing stats will improve by 2 points.
You are set objectives by your coaches, such as get a goal, win the match, or get a rating of 7 in the match. All of those will contribute to your reputation.
Firstly you will play in reserve team. If you manage to keep your performances, your reputation, ultimately you'll be in first team and England national.
You can also compete online, and make a team among your friends to compete online.
To sum up, its like a soccer RPG, and it definitely give more content than traditional soccer games.

David Kim profile: A Starcraft 2 balancer

You have seen the Starcraft 2 battle reports. All have been won by David Kim. So who is exactly this guy?
David Kim is a Blizzard's employee. His korean name is Kim Tae Hyun. He was born in Korea and went to college in Vancouver, majoring in computer science. He was going to work for programming for "Company of Heroes" and "Warhammer 4000" but later became a balance designer for Relic.

He is now working with Blizzard as a balance designer for Starcraft 2. Means that his job is to make sure what units is appropriate to which races and situations. Maybe some balance tweaking to even out units between those three races. Designing terrain and counter units between races also part of his job.
David Kim is a competitive Starcraft player, and his favorites TV show was.. Starcraft. Figures.
To those people who just raised their eyebrow, yes, Korea has its own TV network for Starcraft where viewers can watch battle from past tournaments and everything about Starcraft. To Koreans, Starcraft is like chess that everybody just play it casually or hardcore. Some companies even sponsor a Starcraft team to compete in the tournaments.
Hell, they even provide Starcraft tutorial by pro gamers should you want one.

David Kim switched to Warcraft 3 when it came out, but Starcraft remains his favourite RTS.
He said that currently he is the no 1 Starcraft 2 ladder, but admits that he might be beaten by other Koreans when the game came out. Judging from the way he plays and will still get ass whooped by other Koreans, it is unbelievable to imagine the level of competition in Korea.

Super Street Fighter IV will have enchanced online play?

This Famitsu magazine scan might not mean anything to you because.. well.. it's in Japanese. And a lot of people may not understand Japanese. Nevertheless, this scans confirms a quite number of enhanced online play mode that is going to be available in the new Street Fighter IV series installment. So anyway here is the summary.

8 Player Support: From what can be seen, Super SF4's online modes will support up to 8 players.
"Endless Battle": Could be a mode for 2 players to play while the rest spectate and comment.
"Team Battle": Its a 2 vs 2 and 4 vs 4 in Super Street Fighter 4. Maybe ala KOF?
"Replay Channel": There will be a channel where players can watch match replays with other players. Voice chat will be enabled so players can discuss replays.

Well this is a great news. I always wanted to be able to watch my friend's battle and comment it live, just like playing in a room. But I'm afraid that lag will take its toll, cause our internet connection here is not so great. Nevertheless its a welcome news for all SF fans.

Famitsu released scans for Super Street Fighter IV, and seems that the old school bonus stage is back.
God, how I miss those bonus stages, and the looks of it, we get S class to crush this time.
