Sony Increasing The Storage Capacity Of Blu-Ray Discs [Sony]

Sony and Panasonic reportedly announced plans to increase the capacity of Blu-Ray discs from 25 GB to 33.4GB. This is possible due to some new ways to evaluate content on the disc.
This upgrade will be compatible with all existing Blu-Ray player product (including PS3) via firmware update. And the best of all, it applies to both layers of the discs. 33.4GB on one layer, two layers mean whopping 66.8GB. Now that is huge!! It brings more possibility of more content fit into the discs, though I doubt game developers is going to use that much, and sadly they would rather release more content via DLC. But hey, who knows!
