Analysis: The total videogaming industry slide at 16% from previous month. Both PS3 and Xbox 360 enjoy sales increase due to price cut. PS3 move almost double from previous month, while Xbox 360 also increase slightly. However NPD cut off date is August 29, so total effect of price cut can only be seen on next month data.
On software side, Madden 10 takes the top chart with a million and a half units sold. Xbox 360 version of Batman manage to beat PS3's one by a slight margin. But it proves that exclusive content does work to help increase the sales, considering that historically Xbox 360 game version sales always beat PS3 by a landslide.
